Helping our local community sport thrive
As a new arm of Steroplast Healthcare, Sterosport has inherited its values, culture and ethics. And, as Steroplast Healthcare is, and has always been, very community conscious, we are too. At Sterosport, we’re very keen to contribute to our local community in whatever way we can – whether through supporting local charities, sponsoring individuals or events or offering our training and assistance to organisations. Here are just a few examples.
Firesport offers a wide range of sporting activities, from walking and bowls to cycling and cricket. We work closely with the organisation, providing first aid and physiotherapy equipment.
We’re delighted to be an official partner to GMCL. The league boasts some 86 clubs with 220 teams between them.
Working in partnership with GreaterSport, we assist local clubs and participants to be powerful, strong and resilient. Our aim is to turn setbacks into comebacks.
This is a series of free events, hosted by Sterosport. Each event is designed to bring together professionals from the medical, academic, sport and health environment. Helping to improve performance and rehabilitation from sporting injuries. Our blog includes details of the Injury Rehab Network events planned for 2021. If you would like to join the Injury Rehab Network please contact Andrew Watson on 0161 902 3030 or email@example.com.
As well as being a successful professional boxer, Jake is the driving force behind TBT. The Best Team was set up to help people in need – especially children battling serious illnesses. We’re proud to contribute to TBT’s work.
We’re honoured to have been the official sponsor of this leading ice hockey club since the 2017-18 season.
Manchester’s only American Football team, the Titans have 9 individual teams which cater for all ages. As their official sponsor we’re doing everything we can to support their growth and success.
For anyone hoping to make it big in the cricketing world, the fantastic courses on offer at Myerscough College are the perfect start. And we’ve recently joined forces with the college to help keep students safe and injury-free throughout the season.

Mike James, The Endurance Physio and Director at Sports Injury Fix kindly provided an expert guest talk at the February 2020 Injury Rehab Network event and commented,
The Steroplast Injury Rehab Network is a superb and innovative idea that can only benefit therapists. To provide an opportunity for local multidisciplinary therapists to learn from each other and others, whilst networking and introducing people that can help each other is simply groundbreaking. Having had the pleasure to attend a recent event, the positive discussion and energy in the room was palpable. Steroplast have truly hit it out of the park with this!
Sports Therapy Association (STA) is setting a new gold standard in professional representation for sports therapists, sports injury therapists and soft tissue therapists across the United Kingdom. The STA have worked passionately to develop a truly independent and ethical association that is committed to raising standards across the industry and progressing opportunities for its valued members.
As practicing Sports Therapists, working in an increasingly challenging political climate, The STA identified the need for a new, dynamic, forward thinking and proactive professional association – a body that could voice the opinions of practitioners and lobby for positive change, crucially without the bias associated with direct links to training providers. The Sports Therapy Association work tirelessly on behalf of their members to fulfil their commitment to promote excellence in the field of Sports Therapy.
Sports Therapy Association members can benefit from exclusive discounts on Steroplast products from the Sterosport website.
After attendance at a recent Injury Rehab Network event, Gary Benson, STA Founder and Director said,
Having attended the recent Seminar I can recommend these opportunities as a great way to meet and network with local industry professionals and earn valuable CPD points, a very welcoming team led by Andrew at Steroplast in their modern comfortable conference room made us feel very welcome with refreshments, a great speaker Mike James, AKA the Endurance Physio and a sample pack of their product range. Highly recommended 5*
